Prior to joining Schadel Financial Group, Rudy served as Vice President and External Wholesaler in East Tennessee for the largest actively managed exchange traded fund (ETF) provider in the industry, First Trust Portfolios. Rudy began his career in the financial services industry in Nashville as a Portfolio Analyst for Truxton Trust Company’s wealth management division. As a Portfolio Analyst, Rudy gained valuable experience generating formalized financial reports, performing quantitative research studies, and developing financial projection and risk allocation models. Rudy is a native of Bowling Green, Kentucky and attended the University of Louisville where he received his bachelor’s degree in Finance. Going into his freshman year at UofL, Rudy walked onto the Swim Team as a sprint freestyler. By the time he graduated, he was a NCAA All-American and Captain of the team. He also earned First Team ACC All-Conference and ACC academic honors as a Cardinal.
